A Place Called Home
Home is where one starts from.
—T. S. Eliot
Much of life seems to be a search for some small place in the world where we fit and feel safe, where we can be comfortably ourselves. When we are young, we need a private place where we can nurse our wounds and dream about the future; and when we are older and the future has come, we want a home of our own, a place that we can shape to fit ourselves. That home we search for is more than just a place to live. It’s also a place among people who provide us with friendship and love, and a place in the working world that lets us accomplish something satisfying.
